Embroidery Machine Operator
Overview
Job Description
Summary/Scope of Role: The Embroidery Machine Operator is responsible for setting
up, operating, and maintaining embroidery machines to produce high-quality
embroidered garments and textiles. This position requires strong attention to detail,
color coordination, and the ability to ensure each design meets quality and production
standards.

Duties and Responsibilities:
1) Reads work order to determine type and location of embroidery
2) Read and interpret embroidery work orders to determine design type, placement,
and thread colors.
3) Select appropriate thread size and color, and draw thread through machine
guides and bobbins.
4) Hoop and align fabric or garments to ensure accurate design placement.
5) Adjust and regulate machine settings (tension, speed, thread trimming, etc.)
using appropriate controls or setscrews.
6) Operate automatic embroidery machines, including multi-head systems, to
produce embroidered designs according to specifications.
7) Monitor machine operation to detect defects in stitching or thread breaks; make
minor adjustments as needed and report mechanical issues to a supervisor.
8) Inspect finished products for accuracy, quality, and consistency.
9) Repair defective embroidery or fill in incomplete stitch areas when required.

10)Perform basic machine maintenance, cleaning, and threading.
11)Maintain an organized and safe work area.
12) Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor.

Education/Experience:
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Minimum 2-years experience in operation of industrial embroidery machinery and
equipment
• Basic computer skills for operating embroidery software
• Good color perception and hand-eye coordination
• Dependable, punctual, and able to work in a team environment.
• Experience in apparel decoration (screen printing, heat press, vinyl, etc.)
• Graphic design or digitizing knowledge.
