1st Shift Production Clerk (BPF)

Job Description
SUMMARY
The Clerk will be responsible for the production documentation and system transactions related to all work in progress orders as well as maintaining inventory accuracy within the department.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
• Verify that the department has all necessary materials for production process.
• Kit/Prepare all planned WO’s for the week to ensure no delays in production.
• Coordinate with quality, planning and inventory control on scheduled orders and related materials.
• Data entry on several reports, work orders and Oracle.
• Run daily reports of on hand inventory and statuses as needed.
• Weekly reports on WIP Variances, Scrap rates and aging inventory in departments without movement.
• Cycle count department inventory based off provided schedule.
• Investigate and take corrective action on inventory and work order discrepancies that are found.
• Consistent communication with all related departments in facility to coordinate and support production process.
• Review inventory is moving in and out of transitional locations in a timely manner.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area according to GMP that inventory is easily accessible and properly stored.
• Maintain inventory accuracy and assist other departments with clerical duties when needed.
• And other duties as needed.
Education and Experience:
1-2 Years of inventory control, cycle counting and order picking. High School diploma or equivalent
Language Skills:
Ability to read/write and comprehend instructions, correspondences, and memos. Must be able effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to other employees of the organization.
Mathematical Skills:
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ration, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
Computer Skills:
Strong computer skills, including proficiency in Oracle or other inventory management software, excel and RF Scan Guns.
Reasoning Ability:
Must be capable of understanding and carrying out detailed written or oral instructions in a timely manner. Ability to deal with problems involving a several variables in the inventory process and a multitude situation. Should have a strong sense of deduction to determine root causes and resolving them based off investigations both systematically and by communicating with several departments when needed.
