Night Shift Production Supervisor

Job Description
Summary/Scope of Role: The Night Shift Supervisor oversees all aspects of production operations during the night shift, ensuring safety, quality, efficiency, and morale are maintained. This role is the primary decision-maker on the floor from shift start to shift end and serves as the direct link between hourly associates and plant leadership.
Duties and Responsibilities:
• Lead and supervise a team of hourly production associates, providing direction, coaching, and real-time support throughout the shift.
• Monitor production output against targets; identify and resolve bottlenecks to meet daily schedules and throughput goals.
• Ensure product quality standards are met by monitoring in-process checks and coordinating with quality personnel when defects arise.
• Manage shift staffing including attendance tracking, workstation assignments, cross-training, and break coverage.
• Coordinate with maintenance on equipment issues; escalate breakdowns and complete downtime documentation.
• Complete detailed shift handover reports covering production totals, quality issues, safety incidents, attendance, and equipment status.
• Administer progressive discipline consistently and fairly in accordance with company policy; partner with HR as needed.
Requirements:
• High school diploma or GED required; associate's or bachelor's degree preferred
• 3+ years of manufacturing experience, including 1+ year in a supervisory or lead role
• Demonstrated ability to lead teams and hold associates accountable
• Working knowledge of safety regulations (OSHA) and GMP or quality standards
• Proficient in basic computer applications (email, ERP/MES systems, MS Office)
• Ability to work overnight shifts, weekends, and holidays as required
